There are many beautiful beaches nearby. But only 600 m away from villa Besca, one of the most beautiful beaches on the Adriatic can easily be reached by foot! The local name is „Vela plaža“. Beaches located near the Croatian town of Baška are considered to be among the most beautiful in the world, and together with the city of Krk they form the most popular tourist attraction on the island. Vela beach stretches for about 2 kilometers and has a pebble shore, while the shallow waters welcome your feet with fine sand. Enjoyable both for children and adults!

VISIT CHURCH OF ST. LUCIJA

Church of St. Lucije is one of the most famous churches on the island of Krk, but also one of the most important in Croatian history. It is known as the site of the Baška tablet, a replica of which is still found in that church. According to the text of the Baška tablet, it can be concluded that the church of St. Lucy was built at the turn of the 11th and 12th centuries on the remains of a former early Christian basilica.

Small places often hide great traditions, and Baška is certainly no exception thanks to the event "Fishermen's Day". Since 1910 and the first competitions in pulling nets, we are developing the event Fishermen's Day, which every year delights many visitors who through it get involved in the long tradition and heritage of Baška. Music and many educational and fun activities for all generations will fill these traditional "Fishermen's Day" with a good mood in a special fishing spirit.
